About Me:

I have been a teacher for fifteen years and my students are beginners to advanced, ages four to eighty-five. Classical flute and piano, Irish/Celtic flute and whistle, folk music in general, or anything else that inspires you are all acceptable here! I also teach arranging, composition, music theory, and music history.

My formal qualifications include: Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College, Master of Music from New York University, and Master of Arts from the University of Limerick. You can find additional info about me in my bio.

My Beliefs and Goals:

I love to teach music and I believe everyone deserves to be a musician. It is a privilege and a responsibility to be a teacher, and I work hard to make sure that my students not only learn technique, sight reading, and theory skills, but that they have fun, enjoy their lessons, and develop a lifelong love of music. For more details about what I expect from my students, check out my lesson policies.
